Description : An electronic gazetteer of the United States, from
the US Geological Survey database. Level of detail: generally includes
features that would be on the USGS 7½ minute (1:24,000 scale) topographic
maps. The program uses a very simple DOS interface and allows the user
to search not only by the feature name, but to limit the search by many
attributes, including state, county, and feature category. The output includes
the name of the 7½ minute topographic maps as well as the latitude/longitude
coordinates. Also available online
